Subject: Trashed fonts.dir on redhat 7.0

To those whose fonts.dir file has been trampled...
The trouble is that the xfs startup script runs mkfontdir in the
abiword directory, which fails because (for whatever reason) it
needs a fonts.scale file; when it fails it thrashes fonts.dir.
The solution:
Install the RPM (Or --force reinstall it if fonts.dir has been truncated)
cp /usr/share/abisuite/fonts/fonts.dir /usr/share/abisuite/fonts/fonts.scale
chkfontpath --add /usr/share/abisuite/fonts
(The new item here is copying fonts.dir to fonts.scale.)
I don't really know why or how this works, and it's not a long-term
solution. But it works for now. I didn't need this before, because
I never saw my fonts.dir file get trashed until just recently when
I rebooted, which I rarely do.
