It's not necessary to uninstall it; the rpm package manager will "know" to
replace it with the new 9.6 package. Do rpm -Uvh abiword-0.9.6.1-1.i386.rpm.
You may also need to install the clipart and fonts packages. NOTE: the Uvh
means this: U = update; v = print version number; and h = print hash marks
(#) to indicate the installs progress.
