Subject: font install failure SunOS 5.5

I installed AbiSuite 0.79 (from abisuite-0.7.9-SunOS_sparc32_dynamic) in my
local directory using install.sh. When makepsres ran in the fonts
directory, it reported:
makepsres: Could not identify file ./fonts.dir.
When adding the fonts directory to the font path, I get:
xset: bad font path element (#10), possible causes are:
Directory does not exist or has wrong permissions
Directory missing fonts.dir
Incorrect font server address or syntax
and abiword complains that it can't load Times New Roman and there are lots
of
Gdk-WARNING **: shmat failed!
messages.
uname -a reports:
SunOS greentea 5.5.1 Generic_103640-26 sun4m sparc
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Jeff
