Actually, the default font size is currently hard coded. All of the
infrastructure is in place to add this feature; it just hasn't been added
yet. The entire preferences dialog is a little bit behind the rest of the
application, and this probably not all bad. When this dialog and all of
it's panes are designed and implemented, we will have a good idea of what
everybody wants without causing them to get cluttered.
