Disable this for now as it seems that even reasonably fast machines
have serious issues dealing with great numbers of fonts. Sorry for the
inconvenience, maybe pango, gtk or the world is just not ready for
this.
A possible optimisation i have in mind would be to render the font
previews to pixmaps on startup and cache them on disk between
sessions. Heck, maybe we could even stuff all in one file and remember
the offsets. That will certainly happen for 2.6 at earliest.
