The token has to be time limited, because that acknowledgement might
never arrive (i.e., one of the processes might loose network connection).

This is a good idea in principle. Some tokens will have to be global
though(like tokens that authorise style changes, metadata changes, etc).
I will put an update version of the proposal up later today.
