Dom,
I recently downloaded the Macintosh native version of Abiword and found
that does look and work alot like MS Word and opened a table file. It did
however break up the table vertically with half-page breaks in text and
formatting, and when I explored writing on a blank page words (misspelled or
not recognized) were underlined in red. Discouraging was that when I deleted
or corrected the word, the red underlined remained. I even found it if I
closed the file and opened a new page. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Jim
