Abiword allows you to have differnt colours onscreen from what will
be on the print out.

Go to Tools, Preferences.
Choose the tab for Layout,
[] Allow Screen Colours other than White [ Choose Colour ]
Tick the checkbox and then click on the choose colour button.

At first I had problems setting the page screen colour because I had
already tried to set the actual page colour (Format, Page Color).
I changed the screen colour to black but the font colour didnt change, I'm
not sure but I think if your system font colour is set to white Abiword
will follow that. Hopefully someone else can provide a better answer.

Thanks very much for the feedback, if you can help us identify any other
accessibility issue you might have an report them (perferably in bugzilla
http://bugzilla.abisource.com) we would appreciate it very much.

Hope that helps

Sincerely
