    Hi,

I decided that I would get the source code from CVS so
that it would be easier to keep up to date with the
changes being made, but building it seems to be not as
    simple as the tarballs.

I checked out the abi directory.
tried to run ./configure oops it doesn't exist.
so I tried to create it using 'autoconf configure.ac >
    configure'

    this yelled at me saying:
    configure.ac:28: error: possibly undefined macro:
    AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE
If this token and others are legitimate, please
    use m4_pattern_allow.
          See the Autoconf documentation.
    configure.ac:63: error: possibly undefined macro:
    AM_ACLOCAL_INCLUDE
    configure.ac:101: error: possibly undefined macro:
    AM_CONDITIONAL

Okay but I figured that I could ignore this for now
and I ran ./configure (since it now exists) but this
    yelled at me to saying:
configure: error: cannot find install-sh or install.sh
    in ac-helpers ./ac-helpers

Okay now I am stuck, any help is appreciated.
