Hi,

I am building the CVS version (updated 9:00 am CST) of Abiword on a
Red Hat 6.x system. I configure it without gnome. When I run, I
display on an SGI IRIX box. The main window comes up - sort of.
I see

**** (1) Assert ****
**** (1) UT_SHOULD_NOT_HAPPEN at ap_UnixLeftRuler.cpp:349 ****
**** (1) Continue ? (y/n) [y] : y

many times (I'm telling it to continue). This assert is in the left
ruler expose method. Apparently, the ruler does not have a graphics
context -- getGraphics() returns NULL.

I also have another window pop up, warning me:

Abiword could not load the following font or fontset from the
        X Window System display server:

        [-*-Times New Roman-regular-r-*-*-*-0-*-*-*-*-*-*]

        This error ... (etc. etc)

I am invoking abiword with the proper scipt, but since I'm displaying
on a different machine, I'm not sure it helps the font situation.

The two do not seem related, but you never know.

I would suspect that not very many people test the
dispay-elsewhere-not-on-XFree86 case.

Dean
