As Martin says, the current team is totally occupied getting AbiWord 1.0 out
the door. Attempts to distract us from this goal should be accompanied by
large cash bribes. Correction -- make that *very* large.
Having said that, we did spend a lot of effort early on to separate out the
the following sets of code:
  - lightweight application framework for XP (cross-platform) support
  - application-specific logic for AbiWord
To date, that separation hasn't been fully tested, and there are likely to
be places where AbiWord concepts have "crept into" the framework. If so,
please file bugs or submit patches accordingly. ;-)
We did this up-front work to make it a lot easier to use that code for other
AbiSuite applications, and there are a number of fine GTK-specific or
GNOME-specific applications which could conceivably be ported to this
framework.
bottom line
-----------
If you know of any talented developers who don't like working on word
processors, but who *would* be interested in working on other potential
AbiSuite products, by all means send them my way.
In the mean time, we'll all continue to focus on AbiWord.
