HI Glenn,
Keep up the good work on Code-Medic and Code-Crusader :-)

Abiword is now maintained by a motley collection of volenteers
from all over the world who have a motley collection of systems for
development. We don't have a platform with a vanilla RedHat 6.2 at our
disposal right now.

So in a nutshell if you want to use the rpm version you'll have to upgrade
your gtk :-(

It's actually very easy to build your own abi though.

1. Download the source files to /usr/local

2. tar zxvf abisuite-0.7.12.tar.gz

3. cd abisuite-0.7.12

4. cd abi

5. make prefix=/usr/local/abisuite-0.7.12 install

6. put a link from /usr/local/abisuite-0.7.12/AbiSuite/bin/AbiWord to
/usr/local/bin/abiword or someother generic place.

Good Luck!

Martin

ps. It's not that hard to build abi rpm's. We'd be happy to consider a
more generic supplied by someone else. I'll leave it to Sam to work out
how we can get around trust issues with binary products though.
