That's precisely why I want this to work in AW. I have many
megabites of existing Word documents that use several
specialised ttf fonts with no Unix equivalent. This has been the
single issue that stopped Linux from being my working rather than
toying platform; for a while I considered moving to StarOffice, but it
is plagued by this problem. If we can make this work in AW it will
give us definite edge on any Unix wordprocessor.
I have found a suitable programme to do the ttf to type 42
conversion, and have adapted it to our needs. There is some work
still left, but should have it ready by the end of the week.
As far as the Install dialogue goes, I think the #2 alternative where
we add an 'Install Font' button to the Font dialogue is probably
better.
