This is real good stuff. We really need objective comments like this.

I have read it (not deeply), and I must say that to be fair and complete,
it would be nice if you added GNOME version comparison, because the GNOME
version is more polished than the Windows version (due to more developer
:-))

Some examples:
-color in toolbar: we have combo à la Word with a color selector and a
color sample in the icon.
-the icons in menus: GNOME do this and Dom added code to AbiWord to do this
too on GNOME port.
And there are probable lot of other sample.

I can understand that you compare both on Windows, but adding a third platform
that is, by fact, the reference platform in term of feature implementation,
just helps underlining the whole thing.
